On the top sits the Stanford University where stars like Venus, Serena, Williams, Bjorn Borg and even Jimmy Connors have once played. Stanford University is probably the place where you could be the next tennis hero and get worldwide recognition. The famous Taube Family Tennis Center at Stanford has hosted some big tennis events which also includes NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship.
Back in 1977, the legendary John McEnroe joined the University of Stanford and won NCAA singles and team championships just a year later in 1978.
After winning, he also joined ATP World Tour. Moreover, the men’s tennis team of Stanford had also won 17 NCAA Division I Championships while the women’s team has won 18 NCAA Championship Titles.

The team of Southern California shines like a bright star in the world. The men’s team of this college has a winning percentage of 81% which is incredible. Having 21 wins, the men’s team has won the most championships out of all the Division I tennis programs.
The mighty Steve Johnson is one of the finest players from this team, and he retired from his career with a whopping 72-match win streak and also took a trip to Rio for Olympic Games back then.

University of California, Los Angeles

Their men’s team of tennis has won 79 percent of the matches they have played along with 16 NCAA championships to their name.
The university also has eight lighted tennis courts to choose from, and a great hang out a spot in Los Angeles tennis courts to choose from and play. The environment is so friendly and cozy that you’ll never get bored or tired playing tennis there.
The legend Arthur Ashe, who was one of their honored tennis players, opted to play as a professional player after he received a scholarship from UCLA and was part of the best team at that time.
Ashe, in 1965, also won singles NCAA Championship and contributed to helping his team with an overall championship, making the whole university proud of him.
Furthermore, UCLA has a club team which ranks third at Tennis on Campus nationals in 2017. Overall, they have the best tennis teams to start your career and be a part of.
In the rural Williamston is the Williams College with a tennis team boasting some of the finest and award-winning players. Their men’s tennis team has won four NCAA Championships while the women’s has won their tenth NCAA Championship a little while ago.
Women’s Tennis Captain Hannah Atkinson said, “I think the main thing that sets us apart from other teams is our commitment to our core values: Having a team-first attitude, working hard 100 percent of the time, loving the battle and competing with heart and bringing positive intensity to the court every day.”
More than the men, their women’s team has been incredible at winning with a win percentage of 83%. Their team is in fact hard working, positive and approaches every obstacle and challenge with a strong sense of determination and energy.
At Emory, you’ll meet people who are involved in multiple leadership positions and tennis is one of them. It has the best sports club and becoming a part of their tennis team is even better. One of their club tennis member Anish Nalla says, “We are as much dedicated towards tennis as we are towards our studies.”
Their men’s team recently won their fourth NCAA Championship and women seven Division III championships. Though it is a Division III school on the varsity level, on the club level, they can even play schools from any division.
Their team travels to bigger schools as well for the big tournaments, and if you want to be a part of it, Emory is the place you have to be right now.
Armstrong Atlantic State University
The Armstrong Atlantic State University is the home of Armstrong Pirates and is a Division II powerhouse in NCAA, and there is nothing better to watch a tennis match with your friends in Georgia’s sunny weather.
They have a nice and small club team with ten lighted courts, and you’ll simply love to be a part of this team and enjoy studying there.
University of Georgia
UGA athletics necessarily don’t mean football or baseball games. The men’s tennis team of the University of Georgia won 73% of their matches and women’s team 76%. Their tennis team, other giving you the great opportunity to rise as a great player provides a perfect balance of court and study time. This makes practicing and participating very easy. The former Bulldog John Isner, UGA’s biggest star has been a part of their team.
University of Florida
The University of Florida simply provides you with the most professional tennis playing experience.
